My Birthday Post

It's another birthday away from Singapore. Thanks to my family and all my friends for all your birthday wishes, and a very big big thanks to the Singapore contingent who celebrated my birthday yesterday. It was a surprise as usual and they bought me a small strawberry cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious! Thanks to my American friends Stephen, Shawnette and 2 international friends (Carlos, Samkeliswe) who sang me a birthday song before we started work yesterday.

Taken at the Runaway Mine Train. A beautiful view of El Toro and the pond in the sunset.

Me, Tianze and Jamie with Sylvester and Tweety at the Mainstreet Fountain.

Me and the pre-fabricated, cable pulled, wooden roller coaster God, El Toro. The drops and uphills climbs are steep and the caoster travels fast and smooth, so it feels like you are going to be thrown from your seat when it goes over the hills. The bends are also really fierce and intense as well, throwing one from side to side. Must relax otherwise will suffer whiplash...have been on this ride 8 times.

Me and the world's tallest, fastest roller coaster, Kingda Ka...the majestic grandeur of it all...I of course love this coaster over Hypersonic of KD. But I had a friend who preferred Hypersonic because he said the acceleration for Hypersonic is a lot faster, taking only about 1.something sec to reach its full speed, while Ka needs about 3.something sec. I argued even though that may be true, Ka is still a lot faster, and do I mean a loooooooooooooot! When it starts to travel the wind just blows on my berms and shirt so hard that it feels that they are gonna rip right off (So I really don't mind it taking 3.something sec to launch, cause I'll die if the acceleration only takes 1.something sec lol)! Then it winds up to the peak like a snake before plunging down again. And another thing, Hypersonic only sits 8 people a car, Ka sits 20...have only been on this ride 3 times, and counting.

The Great American Scream Machine. It's an old steel coaster, the stereotypical type where you would think of once you hear the term 'roller coaster'. Not a comfortable ride I must say, cause it tends to get rough in spots and it really hurts the head. But it is the most photogenic ride, with 8 inversions (loops and corkscrews), white supports and a red track. I have the most pleasure taking photos of this ride, but not riding it.
