First Post of 6Flags

It's been almost 3 weeks since I've arrived here, and most of the days here are cold and rainy. Temperatures drop to about 10degC during the rainy days, and the next day could be well and sunny. Yes, the weather here is really erratic...

I can't help but compare 6Flags to KD, and the first subject of comparison would have to be the roller coasters. The roller coasters here are really sick, esp those such as Kingda Ka and El Toro. Kingda Ka is God of roller coasters, and El Toro is the supreme ruler of wooden roller coasters. I've already been on El Toro 5 times, and only twice on Kingda Ka, because the lines are always damn long for Kingda Ka, that may stretch for 2 hours. There are other totally exciting roller coasters, like Nitro and Medusa, but Kingda Ka and El Toro are the Gods in my opinion.

I work at a new coaster called The Dark Knight, in affiliation to the movie of the same title. It's suppose to be a family roller coaster, that's why many of the adults that went on found it...a little less of their expectation. It is the only roller coaster in this park with a story btw, might even be the only ride! I think I'll permanently be working at The Dark Knight, judging from what my manager told me. It's good in the sense that the work area is air-conditioned (whole coaster is indoors, which means it can't be all that big), which works well during the summer, but it also means that I get to know less people, and less exposure to other rides. If having to train elsewhere means that I have to work the less exciting rides such as the ferris wheel...I'd rather stick with Dark Knight...

I must mention this. On that fateful day of 26th May, while I was checking restraints, a supervisor came up the exit with a group of African-Americans, all rather well-dressed (as in fashionable, in the hip-hop way, not in the formal sense). Then one of them came and sat down on the next rail car that got into the station, followed by her friends. I stared at her for quite sometime, and when the car moved out of the station, I ran over to my colleague Diamond, who is also an African-American, and asked her, 'Was that Missy Elliot???' and she was like, 'YA!!!' I was really overwhelmed, and when she got back to the station, I took another good look at her...it really was Missy...it just sux that I was working and can't get a picture taken with her...she was within touching distance....
